Our village hall in Glanvilles Wootton was built in 1923 and is still the central community hub today, as it was then. It is available to hire for private occasions with a fully equipped kitchen.
Throughout the year, the hall hosts a number of events for all ages. The community is very welcoming and you will always leave having made a new friend. Keep an eye on the notice board outside the Old Post office for up to date notices on forthcoming events. Below is a snapshot.
Every so often there is a pop up pub night. It's a great chance for guests to mingle with the locals, understand more about country life and obtain tips on where are the best places to go. The drinks are favourably priced with proceeds going to local community projects.
2024 Pop Up Pub nights are as follows;
12th January, 12th April, 12th July, 18th October
It is run by volunteers and extremely popular, which residents from nearby villages also come to support. For £6 per person, the breakfast includes juice, tea / coffee, toast and a full english. What's not to like? There is also an open invite to go on a local walk, taking a different route each month. Free to take part, the walkers leave the hall at 8.30am for a 1hr - 1.5hr walk.
2024 Breakfast morning dates confirmed so far are as follows;
6th January, 3rd February, 30th March, 27th April.... more dates to follow.
