This Boat Shed Cafe a rustic traditional boatshed serving fresh and locally sourced meals and cakes. The daily specials board includes vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. There is limited seating inside and an abundance of outside benches, with the option of takeaway for all items. It is right on the edge of the cove, so the views are amazing. It's advised to get there early as it can be very busy. You could also take the opportunity to wander to the Stair Hole.
The most famous and most photographed spot on the Dorset Jurassic Coast, Durdle Door is an impressive natural limestone archway standing in the sea. That was created around 10,000 years ago. It stands at the foot of a steep path followed by a set of wooden steps. There is a car park nearby, but as it's a really popular tourist spot, you really need to pick your times well of when you go. Ice creams are sold via a small boat that comes back and forth from Weymouth!
The coastal path between two iconic landmarks of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door is only just over a mile long, yet it within this short distance, you can see some of the best coastal scenery in the country. Especially in the summer when the wild flowers are out. There's a steep slope to climb to begin with from Lulworth Cove, but after this it is easy and relatively flat. There are lots of suggestions for routes online where you can combine other spots of interest along the way.
